I have read and re-read these posts and can't figure out if it is sarcasm or someones stupid opinion. It's about time the K-Zoo commission finally stood up for the rights of all citizens. Marriage isn't under attack the Heterosexual Men of the city do that pretty well on their own. This measure is about rights inclusion and discrimination of a group of people, not rights abolition.

Scotty's totally being sarcastic here.  In fact, he and I were talking the other night about how the fundies get their shorts in knots about how same-gender marriage is somehow a threat to opposite-gender marriage when my parents?  Opposite gender and all that - 41 years and going strong.  If their marriage isn't threatened by the gay agenda (what with me working for it and being a flaming liberal),then I'm pretty sure the fundies etal have far more serious issues than "the Gays".  Might have something to do with how in right wing circles, women are treated as second class citizens... but that's just a guess.

You'll find that most of the regular posters/commenters here at MichLib (with a few glaring exceptions) removing discriminatory language from federal/state/local laws and/or adding in protective language to ensure equal treatment.

Do stupid people know they are stupid?
